Nava Sama Samaja Party (NSSP) – May Day 2026

The Nava Sama Samaja Party (NSSP) highlights workers’ rights, social justice, and democratic reforms in her May Day 2026 campaign.

NSSP calls for the convening of a permanent national assembly of workers’ representatives and puts forward key demands, including recognition of the self determination of the Tamil people in the North and East, the allocation of abandoned plantation lands to plantation worker families, and a cost-of-living-linked subsidy for people.

The NSSP said this year’s May Day campaign aims to bring together workers, trade unions, and progressive social movements around a common platform to address economic hardship, land rights, and democratic governance in Sri Lanka.
